
Dr Rebecca Isabella Kiconco | Board Chairperson
Rebecca is an academician with the Department of Taxation and Auditing, Faculty of Commerce at Makerere University Business School (MUBS), with over 14 years of teaching experience. She holds a Ph.D. from the Eindhoven University of Technology in The Netherlands: a double degree (MSc in International Business and Management specializing in International Financial Management and an MSc in Economics and Business respectively) from the University of Groningen in The Netherlands, and Uppsala University in Sweden: and a Bachelors in Business Administration (Accounting) from Makerere University. In addition, Rebecca has received professional education in User experience and Interaction Design from the Interaction Design Foundation in Denmark; Evaluating Social Programs from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Research Data management and sharing. Her appointment to Climate Hub International Board was a result of her being an environmental health practitioner willingly to play a key role in helping communities adapt to climate change. She says Vulnerable population groups in Africa, especially those living in poverty, young children, women, the elderly and people with pre-existing diseases, are susceptible to new or exacerbated health threats resulting from climate change.

Dr. Pamela Karungi. PhD | Board Member
She plays a key role in initiating and managing strategic partnerships, especially when it involves other organizations. Playing a crucial role in educating and influencing other board members.
Pamela bring vast experience in her roles which encompass overseeing risk management and fostering strategic partnerships within an organization. They ensure effective risk mitigation, promote collaboration, and contribute to the organization’s overall success by understanding risks, influencing management, and supporting strategic decisions

Mr Mwesigwa Byakutaga | Deputy Board Chairperson
Acting as the Director/Vice Board Chairman, Mr. Mwesigwa is a Management Consultant with vast experience in revenue collection and management, and banking administration service. He has served several industries such as the Education sector as a consultant at Uganda Management Institute (UMI) and Regulatory Bodies such as Uganda Revenue Authority (URA).

Dr Alex Nduhura | Board Member
Acting as the Executive Director for Climate Hub International Dr, Alex is a founder and private consultant for several public & private ventures that have resulted in positive social, economic & environmental change. He is passionate about green business growth, on matters relating to supply chains, youth & women entrepreneurship, infrastructural development, and how they interrelate with the ecosystem. As a new appointee to the role of the Climate Hub Social Enterprise Ambassador, he has a greater platform to share insights and network with key stakeholders in policy and environmental practices.

Dr Ivan Kimuli | Board Member
Serving on the board since 2015, and currently chairing the Finance and Business Committee, Dr. Ivan has extensive experience in the social enabling progress with Corporate sustainability services. As a health practitioner at Makerere University Lung Institute, he is passionate in fields related to environmental conservation as means to eradicate pollution-related illnesses. He supports mitigation strategies that encourage sustainable technologies for quality processes, products, and systems.

Ms Damalie Ndagire | Board Member
At the peak of finalizing her Ph.D., Ms. Damalie Ndagire brings on board expertise in business model analysis through assessment of current and potential exposure to transition risks & opportunities. For more than 20 years, she has worked with institutional investors to incorporate climate change considerations in their investment process by providing an extensive view of climate change risks and opportunities across multiple dimension, hence accepting my role to be a board to look after the green opportunities.

Ms Neema Assimwe | Board Member
Ms. Neema’s notions about the overwhelming sense of fear about the future of the planet and the human race are an inspiration. She notes that it’s hard not to feel this way when looking at various climate models or reading literature from the United Nations and leading economists like Jeffrey Sachs. She is immensely passionate about the world in which our future children and grandchildren will live in, and is active in working to address the challenges of climate change.

Mr Clinton Mawanda | Programs Director
The Programs Director, Mr. Clinton is a certified Carbon Literacy Trainer from the UK and possesses vast knowledge in Banking Sector, FMCGs, and a service portfolio for sustainable/renewable energy. Strongly affiliated with the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), his contributions stretch through accounting processes, Human Resource, and operations in conjunction with the Executive Director and respective teams. He’s passionate about supporting organizations to manage sustainability risks and realize opportunities that increase value for shareholders. To become carbon neutral by 2050, the industry will need to undergo a massive transformation which is Clinton’s call.

Ms. Nadia Ahmed | Ethiopia Country Lead
Nadia is responsible for driving business growth and managing operations within Ethiopia. This includes identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with clients and partners, and developing strategic plans to maximize Climate Hub’s presence and success in Ethiopia

Ms. Nakiyini Hajarah | Eco-friendly Manager
The Eco-friendly manager Mrs Nakiyini Hajarah possess vast experience in developing and implementing strategies to reduce a company’s environmental impact and promote sustainable practices. She is responsible for integrating sustainability into an organization’s core operations and culture. Overseeing adherence to environmental regulations and standards.

Mr Solomon S Kajumba | Senior Manager Forestry and natural resources
The Senior Manager Forestry and natural resources Mr. Kajumba possesses vast knowledge in FMCGs, Occupational Safety, Power Distribution and Management, his knowledge also extends to the motor vehicle industry which spans close to 7years. Strongly affiliated with now carbon literacy and combating effects of climate change Kajumba is now aspiring to be a certified carbon literacy literate and trainer (CLTuk). His contributions stretch through Human Economics, Human Resource Management and Safety (SHE). He has an MBA in Management and a Bachelors in economics from the universities of Uganda Martyrs Nkozi and Makerere respectively. He’s passionate about occupational Health and Safety in a clean Environment (CDM)

Eng. Hassan Ssekibala | Carbon Literacy Trainer
A professional who assesses and quantifies the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions produced by an organization, product, or activity, helping them understand and reduce their environmental impact. A vast Experienced professional who has conducted carbon audits, analyzed emissions data, and provide recommendations for reducing carbon footprints and transitioning to more sustainable practices.
Hassan is also a health researcher who studies the impacts of climate change on human health. His field encompasses a broad range of disciplines, including climate science, public health, and environmental science.

Sebata Hababi | Carbon Literacy Trainer
A Sustainability Specialist who works to minimize the environmental impact for organization or community by developing and implementing sustainable practices. He analyzes operations, develops strategies to reduce waste and improve resource efficiency, and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

Nantume Ann Rose | Head Legal Affairs
Nantume is responsible, overseeing legal strategy, compliance, and risk management. She ensures adherence to environmental laws, manages contracts, handles litigation, and advocates for sustainability policies. Nantume provides legal training, maintains governance standards, and fosters a culture of compliance. She builds relationships with legal advisors and regulatory bodies, representing the organization in legal forums. With extensive experience in environmental law, she guides Climate Hub International to achieve its mission of combating climate change.

Dennis Musanje| Advocacy & Communication Manager
He is an Advocacy and Communications Manager who leads on developing and implementing impactful advocacy and communications strategies to influence broader changes related to Climate Hub International’s programming work throughout Uganda. He supports communities and partners to advocate for change and communicate at local and national level, and leads on gathering compelling evidence to inform and influence key decision-makers.

Mr Patrick Ahebwa | Associate Administrator
As an environment and climate change practitioner, Mr Ahebwa assists in the development of project processes and ensure that schemes are delivered within approved environmental parameters. He also supports the team in Research and analysis on environmental topics, to support performance management and ensure appropriate systems are in place to secure improvements.

Ms. Atim Ashley | Customer Experience Manager
The customer Experience Manager (CEM) bridges the gap between the customer and Climate Hub International Brand. She ensures that each touchpoint across the customer journey is engaging, efficient, and effective.

Mr. Jimmy Matovu | IT Systems and Learning Support
Mr. Jimmy is an experienced IT expert who oversees the maintenance and development of Climate Hub’s digital space. He offers remote desktop support, ensures regular hardware and software maintenance, and quickly responds to technical errors or system failures. His efforts help ensure the smooth functioning of Climate Hub’s digital ecosystem

Pauline Nakato | Human Capital Consultant
Pauline Nakato provides accurate and insightful reporting and analysis to leadership and project teams, identifying gaps, helping to resolve issues. The Senior Resource Head is responsible for assigning the right people to the right projects at the right time.
